Vanilla Coffee Creamer

Vanilla Coffee Creamer |

You may remember the time when I loved was addicted to vanilla coffee creamer.  Of course, not this healthy, homemade version, but the store-bought version full of high fructose corn syrup and 50 other things that aren’t good for humans to consume.  I completely let that habit go when I committed to 42 Days to Fit, and can honestly say that several of those first pounds I shed (I lost 8 the first week) were due to giving up the processed sugar coffee additive.

You never read there that I don’t miss the flavor, though.  But not going back, I decided I would make my own.  And you know what?  It’s so easy you can’t believe it!!

Here’s the simple recipe for wholesome vanilla coffee creamer with just three ingredients (or four, depending on your preference.)

  1. Samantha says:

I so needed this post today! I have just committed to giving up Coffee Mate (and all other processed foods) and I miss it so much already!!! Coffee just isn’t the same without it, but this sounds like it will be delicious =] Thank you!

  2. Do you mean raw maple syrup?

  3. You can go one step further and make a Ceylon Cinnamon Vanilla Creamer. 🙂 The anti-bacterial properties of Cinnamon should help make the creamer last three times as long. I also like to use Thai Palm Sugar, which really is quite brilliant.

Brandy how long do you think your home made creamer will last? Would be great if you could let us know. I know the store bought ones last 2-3 months.

  4. Rhiannon says:

Does the creamer have to be warm before you mix it into the coffee? Or, can I pour the creamer in cold straight from the fridge?

    • No, you can use it cold. Or you can heat a small amount separately as needed. 🙂 I will use this for iced coffee, though, too. 🙂

  5. This really tastes great!! I am so glad I have a healthy coffee creamer now!!

  6. That sounds good. I do not like vanilla coffee creamer, but my husband does, and he puts a ton in his coffee. A quarter cup or so. Yikes.
I am going to make this and see if he will consider substituting for a week or so. Thank you for the recipe.

  7. Caroline O. says:

Thanks! This is one thing i miss about being unhealthy – all of the flavored creamers. Have you actually read all of the ingredients? Scary! This recipe looks easy, and i love using maple syrup in my coffee.

  8. Just curious about what particular brand of maple syrup you use. This sounds really delicious!

    • Hi Jenny, I almost always buy our maple syrup from Costco. They have big bottles that are organic, and for a great price! 🙂

  9. I love the idea of homemade creamer, however im lactose intolerant. How would i make this without using the cream?

  10. Thanks! I’m sipping my coffee now and am thankful that I ended up running out of “store” creamer so I could try it!! Will be making this from now on!
