Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever. Psalm 107:1
Wow! Many months ago, I heard that Savvy Blogging Summit tickets were on sale. I hurriedly (and excitedly) clicked over to purchase mine, but much to my dismay, saw that the conference I so badly wanted to attend in Atlanta, Georgia was
For many months, I fretted and pouted, but all the while, sought a way to find a coveted ticket. (Have you seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?) Yeah. It was sorta like that.
I emailed Toni over at The Happy Housewife. I figured she’d know someone who had a spare ticket. She didn’t, but said she’d keep her eyes open for me.
I tweeted, “anyone have an extra ticket to Savvy? I need one.” No response.
I emailed Toni again. Still no ticket.
Then one night, at dinner with the Fabulous Joy (designer of THIS blog) from Five J’s, I mentioned wanting to go but couldn’t because I have NO TICKET, and you guessed it! She knew someone who had a ticket that they weren’t going to be using.
Now, before I count all my chickens before they hatch, I don’t have the ticket in my possession yet, as name changes and so forth have to take place, BUT, the owner and I have agreed that I can buy the ticket from her!
So, y’all….I get to go to Savvy this year! I’m SO excited!
I’m thankful that I get to go! And I’m thankful that God makes a way, even when we might have already given up hope.
What are YOU thankful for this week?
