Thankful Thursday: 28 Weeks

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good;  His love endures forever.  Psalm 107:1

I’m so thankful that I can say I have reached my last trimester with this 8th boy.  Wow!  It never ceases to amaze me how carefully, miraculously, and wonderfully God made the human body.

I’m humbled and grateful to have gotten this far into my pregnancy, and even more so when I consider that my body has cooperated this many times.  And why is it so surprising to some that our body can and should cooperate with the plan of God for our lives?

I saw my wonderful midwife today.  Absolutely adore her.  I love her simple approach, probably because it is a lot like mine.  Eat healthy.  Exercise.  Rest.  Take your vitamins.  Drink herbal teas.  Then have a baby.

I can’t wait to meet our new little guy.

I’m looking forward to the rest of the pregnancy with him, though.  Counting down the last 12 weeks will be fun.  I plan on blogging about it all, of course.

So many plans…so little time.

I’m hoping to get to share with you about preparing for natural childbirth, homebirth, herbal remedies I use, sewing projects getting ready for our sweet bundle, healthy foods I’m eating, teas I’m drinking, and lots of walks.

All while chasing these other seven boys, planning holiday menus, and my usual super-exciting life of cooking and cleaning!  🙂

Stay tuned y’all.  It really is getting exciting around here!  🙂

Until then, I’m so thankful and feel so blessed.

Enjoy your day.  Kiss your babies.

And please, let me know –

What are you thankful for this week?

  1. I am so thankful for my boys! This month I’m posting everyday on FB what I’m thankful for. So many things to fit in one month! Laundry~ b/c it means I have people to take care of/ Food~ b/c God has provided/ Boys that Fight ;)~ b/c I am so blessed to be their momma and God knows I hate being bored!….I could go on and on.
I love reading about your new one on the way. I yearn to have more so badly. I know everything is in God’s hands.
    ~ Blessings~

  2. I’m thankful as well to be pregnant… 27 weeks with my second! I’m getting more excited each day to meet my new little one (and I know you are too)!

  3. I linked today! 🙂 And since you asked on FB, I miss how you could view the linkys on the same page as the post. Made it easier to link and view other linkys. But I still love ya and will still link when I can! 🙂

Wow…28 weeks? You’re so close! Praying you feel well and that this last trimester is a breeze!

  4. I am thankful for my baby girl, who brings joy every day. 🙂
And I am very much looking forward to all of those topics that you posed…..bring ’em on!

  5. I’m thankful because we just found out we’re pregnant again with baby #4!!! We’re so excited 🙂

  6. How incredibly wonderful to be on baby #8. You remind me of the blog Life in a Shoe. Have you heard of her? She has lots of children…..all girls but the last baby was a boy 🙂 Such cute pictures. I imagine if you ever did have a girl she’d be wrestling by the age of 2 with all those big brothers “helping” her along 🙂

We home birth too! It’s sooo awesome! I love the tea Mama’s Red Raspberry Tea from the Bulk Herb Store, but I imagine you can buy it anywhere and it goes by many names. All yummy of course 🙂

Now you’ve got me excited to meet your newest little one.

  7. I’m almost to my 28th week & the countdown has started for us as well! I was curious what healthy foods you’re eating & what herbal teas you’re drinking. I tried to be as healthy as possible but I struggle a bit. Thanks!

  8. Christa Jones says:

I am really enjoying your blog, especially since I’m 1 week behind you with my 3rd pregnancy…my 3rd boy. Your plan for the next 12 weeks sounds so very similar to mine. 🙂

  9. Hi, was curious what vitamins you are taking. Thanks and God bless

    • Hi Esther! I am taking a prenatal with DHA, Calcium, and Magnesium. I am also drinking raspberry leaf and pregnancy tea (with nettle). I may need to add in some extra iron, but we’ll see in the next couple weeks. 🙂 There are some other herbs and supplements that I will take as I get closer to birth.
