Pie Crust

It’s that time of year again.  And I can hardly wait!  For all those festive, holiday pies!

Pumpkin pie.  Chocolate pie.  Coconut pie.  Pecan pie.

Those are THE pies in my book, but I’m sure I will discover others someday.

This recipe is so easy.  And I love that it’s almost like a shortbread – crispy, buttery, and so yummy!

If I were to use salted butter, do you think I should skip the salt? I’m getting ready to make this to make your pumpkin pie! :)

Definitely, Tara! :) Hope you like! I intend to explore a few more pie crusts this season. I want to find a thin, flaky one, too. :)

Thanks, Brandy! This is what we’ll have for dessert tonight!
We made the playdough this morning! It made a generous portion for each of the 5 boys. They have been playing with it all day!

Sorry, I forgot to ask if I need to bake the crust before putting the pie filling in it?

            • Brandy says:

Not for a pumpkin pie. I bake my crust first for other pies that are filled with chocolate or coconut filling…. Mmm….You’re killin’ me.

          • Brandy says:

Yeah, I forgot to say it makes a ton…..LOL….more than enough! Glad they’re enjoying. I need to get mine back out and let the boys play today. :)

Wonderful!! The whole family loved it…the pumpkin pie!! You know how I said on the Pumpkin pie post that I had never made one?…well, I’d actually never even eaten any pumpkin pie before either. So this is the first one I’ve made AND eaten. My boys loved it so much! The almost 3 year old tried to get seconds!
Thanks so much for all your help today with it!!
