You can pack a ton of fruit into a smoothie! And these boys LOVE them!
No, Levi’s finger isn’t turning blue and purple and about to fall off. He just colors himself for fun.
Fun for him. Not for me, so much.
Back to the smoothies…..
I found a big bag of ORGANIC frozen peaches for a great price at Costco the other day and of course, I bought it. As you probably know, organic peaches are very hard to find anywhere, no matter what season. For more on this topic, read here.
I also keep frozen strawberries for smoothies and other berries for smoothies and pancakes and waffles. It makes it so easy to throw a smoothie together whenever we want one.
Peach Berry Smoothie
Place these ingredients in your blender and blend til smooth:
1 1/2 cups plain, vanilla, or strawberry or berry yogurt (organic, of course)
several frozen strawberries (at least 5 or 6, maybe more, depending on how you want it) or a handful of blueberries, or some of both
a big handful of frozen peaches
**No need for ice, since the fruit is frozen. But if you use fresh fruit, then just a few ice cubes will help achieve that slushy texture.
