He was a much anticipated little guy. We waited and waited the last couple of weeks with labor “teasing” me, stopping and starting a few times.
Malachi Asher was born Sunday afternoon at 4:38 pm, weighing almost ten pounds.
The events leading up to his birth were not what I expected.
His labor and delivery were not what I expected.
The NICU was NOT what I expected.
But here we are, five days later and the most important thing is that Malachi is very healthy, doing extremely well, and should join our family back at home hopefully tomorrow. The only thing keeping him in the NICU is finishing his IV antibiotics that he started the evening of his birth.
I will share the mind-boggling details surrounding his birth later, but wanted to give an update. He’s here. He’s well. I’m home and visiting him frequently for feedings in his little room. Boy, am I enjoying him so much!!!
I also want to thank those of you who’ve prayed.
Malachi Asher’s name basically means Happy Messenger of God. Malachi certainly brought a message with him when he was born: GOD IS FAITHFUL.
Much love to you and yours as we celebrate this new precious life and rejoice in the Truth that our God is a Mighty God. He indeed is faithful.
