Menu Plan and a Peek at the Week 2/10/14

I’m looking forward to a busy week with my sweet guys!  It’s hard to believe that this time two years ago, we were waiting for our 8th son to arrive.  This Saturday, Lincoln turns two!  Wow, the time flies!

I’m also excited to begin a new series here called Making Home a Haven, in which we’ll be sharing some of the beautiful ways we create a warm, nurturing haven within our homes for our families.  This topic is broad, but one that is dear to my heart, since I believe that there is no work more important than nurturing our families.  So, whether it’s food or crafting or sewing or decorating your home or wonderful traditions that are your favorite, it all works together to create a beautiful haven for those you love.

Here’s a sneak peek.

This week, I’m also attending my first Young Living essential oil class.  I know…I can’t believe I’ve never attended one either.  I can’t wait to go and learn about how I can use essential oils for seasonal allergies, something that many of my family members need help with, unfortunately.  They’ll also be teaching about spring cleaning and gardening – more of my favorite topics!  And yes, I will share what I learn with you all. If you haven’t read about how to use essential oils for health, click here.

And, of course, I am looking forward to this week’s menu, because well…you know.  I love cooking for my big ol’ crew!

Here’s what is on the menu this week:

*served with fruit

  • blueberry waffles
  • pancakes
  • organic, GMO-free cereal (They’re hard to find sometimes, aren’t they?)
  • eggs, bacon, toast
  • cinnamon brown sugar oatmeal

Spicy Black Bean Dip |

Simply Meatloaf with Mashed Cauliflower

Don’t forget to check out this week’s sales at Tropical Traditions!

What’s on your menu this week?

  1. I’m really excited to hear about your upcoming new series! This is something I struggle with, living in a male-dominated household. I’m looking forward to it.
