I’m so excited about our family’s menu this week! If you follow me on Facebook, you might have seen my mention of a good friend coming over and that we were cooking all our meals for this week.
Well…we did it! It took us a few hours to assemble everything and get it all packaged up so that all we have to do is pop it into the oven or crock pot. I don’t know if I’m happier that we had so much fun in the kitchen together or if neither of us has to cook. At all. The entire week.
Together, my friend and I made (for each of our families):
- chicken spaghetti (x2)
- chicken and rice
- Mexican lasagna
- baked ziti
- roast and vegetable freezer to crock pot bags
- chicken tacos freezer to crock pot bags
- fabulous homemade bread and rolls
- banana muffins
- chocolate chip cookies
While we were cooking and preparing, our families munched on some easy beef chili and cheesy hashbrown casserole.
We were going to make chicken pot pie, but I goofed and didn’t cook the chicken in time, so we opted to do that next time. We also forgot to make pizza dough completely, and I opted to sit and talk over making brownie bites like I’d planned. We’ll do those and a cornbread dry mix for next time, too. I SO hope she decides to do this with me again soon. We’re thrilled with a house of 14 kids running around while we prepare yummy-good food for the week so that we can be more available to them.
