Menu Plan 6/30/14 {And Where I’ve Been}

Wow!  I cannot believe I just typed that date!  And I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve posted here.  I really have to admit that I’m annoyed when bloggers explain their absence, and then again in three weeks, and then again….It’s like they’re just posting about why they’re not posting.  I’m not doing that.

Nolan Costa Rica 2014

Well, not really.  I will tell you that I was in Costa Rica for two whole weeks with our eldest son and his Spanish Immersion class.  And the week after that?  Well, I was sort of just chilling at home with my family….and adjusting.  I will write about THAT later.  (*You can find some clues in this and the next few posts.)

For now?  I need to be back here.  I need routine.  I need menus.  I need to know if you’re still willing to listen.  Eh hem.  Anyone there?  😉

What’s on your menu this week?


  1. You are pregnant! Peppermint for anti-nausea and slow cooker for those “out if the kitchen” meals! Exciting!!!

    • Don’t you just love how when someone from a large family says they have something to tell you, everyone immediately thinks pregnancy? I know people think that about me when I say I have news, and it is always my first thought for others too. (I thought the same thing with the slow cooker meals, LOL)

    I have Fibromyalgia, and can’t stand/sit to cook for very long. Do you have menus/recipes that take a short time to make, and where would I find them?

      Thanks Sylvia. And I’m sorry to hear about your fibromyalgia. I have to ask–have you tried essential oils to help? I know there are several that could help relieve your pain. Please let me know if I can ever help you. As far as foods that are easier to prepare, are you able to fire up the ol’ crock pot? If so, just type “slow cooker” in the search bar at this site and it should show you a few of my favorite crock pot meals. And what about the already prepared “whole foods” options available in the store? Could you grab a rotisserie chicken and a bagged caesar salad occasionally? If so, that’s the easiest meal on the planet, in my opinion. Eat separately or as chicken caesar salad…YUM! 🙂 Message me anytime, okay?

        I have heard that essential oils help, but don’t know where to get them, or how to use them. Any suggestions?

        I take vitamin D prescribed by my chiropractor and message therapist. Have researched quite thoroughly, but not for the oils.
