Cinnamon French Toast

  1. We just made French Toast this morning! We make it about the same way, except we make it sugar-free with stevia powder instead of sugar (we have a diabetic in the house). And today we added about 2 tablespoons of applesauce to the egg mixture…making it apple cinnamon French Toast. I wasn’t sure what the applesauce would do to the French Toast (maybe make it soggy or somehow prevent it from cooking properly), but it made no difference at all except in taste. Then we cut ours into sticks and dipped them in agave nectar instead of syrup. Good stuff!!

  2. We made this for breakfast this morning and every one gobbled it up! The mixture made enough to do a whole (small) loaf of bread. We added about a teaspoon of vanilla to the mix and dipped them in honey. Thank you so much for this recipe!
