Baked Ziti

Looking for a healthy pasta dish that fills up your large family?Ā  Or maybe you’re wanting to make a big batch of baked pasta to be able to freeze for later use?

This recipe is enough for even our large family of a bunch of growing boys, and we even have left-overs (which I love for the next day’s lunch!)

And it’s got to be the easiest baked pasta recipe ever!

We buy organic pasta from Costco and keep our pantry stocked with it.

I make our semi-homemade pasta sauce with fresh garlic and olive oil.

Add shredded mozzarella and parmesan, then bake.

Fast, frugal, nutritious, and delicious!

  1. I’m hungry already!! :). I use something similar to this but I don’t even cook the pasta! I make sure there is enough liquid in the pan to cover the pasta (ie add some extra liquid, water would do or stock) with the pasta sauce and add the cheese and put in the oven until cooked! So easy and very very yummy!

  2. Making this for supper tonight. I used balsamic vinegar in place of the wine. Smells delish!!

  3. I made this and it was a favorite! I used balsamic vinegar in place of the wine and added 2 Tbls of raw sugar. We like it a little sweet! Thanks for such an easy recipe!

  4. Do you freeze this before putting cheese on top?? Thanks!

  5. Nichole says:

I’m making this for the second time!! Love it, it’s so easy, especially on a day where I didn’t have much time. Easy clean up, too!

  6. Hello if I want to freeze, do I cook first then freeze? Thank you

    • Hey Dana! Cook the noodles, then mix with sauce and cover with cheese. Normally, you would bake next, but don’t. Just freeze. Then, when ready to bake, just pop in the oven. šŸ™‚
