42 Days to Fit: Fall Session 2015!

42 Days to Fit | TheMarathonMom.com

Well friends, the day has arrived!  It’s time to begin 42 Days to Fit!

Are you excited?  I am!

And I can hardly believe it’s been about three years since I last did this challenge. I got pretty fit during that journey.  By the end of my personal 42 day challenge, I was able to run a 5K –  a big deal for my then (relatively) sedentary self.  I stayed pretty fit after that.  I began training for a marathon soon after and did my first half marathon almost three years ago to the day.  It was fun and rewarding.  I was in better shape than I had been in a while.

And then.  This sweet surprise ninth baby boy came onto the scene.  I began the pregnancy way less active, but not unhealthy.  But nausea and sickness were rough and I resumed a no-exercise-eat-whatever-I-can lifestyle.  It stuck the whole pregnancy.  I had a health scare around the time of his birth and for months afterward.  I’m still recovering from a demineralization issue and am still super proactive about my supplements. I’m still nursing a baby, too.  Just like I was last time I did this challenge. And it’s time to shed a few post-partum pounds.

I know that many times for lots of moms, post-partum pounds tend to stay longer than they should.  Please do realize that there is legitimate reason AND need for those pounds to stay around for nursing moms and babies to be their healthiest.  However, when both mom and baby are healthy, and there are no nursing concerns, moms can afford a little wiggle room when it comes to getting back into shape with both food and exercise.

And so?  It’s time for 42 Days to Fit!  And I just love when people join me!  It’s hard on your own, but with people alongside you for encouragement, you can do it!

Today is DAY ONE!  If you haven not already gotten  the e-book, you can download 42 Days to Fit here.

I usually see the most immediate results in the first week or two.  Which means it’s sometimes hard.  But the challenge for the first week is simple, and it’s one we ALL need to make.  It can be truly life-changing.

With weekly challenges for both food and exercise, this simple program is effective, and people often see results fast.  The best part, though?  It sets you up to keep going.  If you continue the healthy lifestyle principles taught in this book, you can expect good results to only continue in your journey!

Keep up with daily and weekly challenges and motivations on our facebook, twitter, and periscope.

If you’re a busy mom wanting some help getting back into shape, this is for YOU!  Hop on with us!

What are you waiting for??

  1. Okay, Brandy…..I’m in! I read your book about 2.5 years ago and implemented it…..but didn’t stick with it. 🙁 I now have some great motivation, as I’m headed to Mexico in a month! 🙂 Honestly, I could lose a good 15 lbs., and I don’t even have a baby right now. My youngest is three, and I’ve been having a horrible time taking this extra weight off. A week or two ago, I wasn’t snacking between meals, was eating healthier, and walking/jogging most every day…and then made the mistake of stepping on the scale. 🙁 I think I gained weight while I was “being good.” 🙁 I need help. 🙂 Do I need to do something even more drastic right now? Thank you for what you do and for the body wrap prize that I won! 🙂

Stick with the good habits, and they eventually pay off! I have actually weighed more at my fittest, because I had a lot more muscle. The scale was not the best indicator for me at that season in my life. I had little fat, but lots of muscle. Muscle weighs more. I actually wouldn’t mind weighing more and “looking bigger” than weighing less being “skinny fat”. Make sense?

  2. Hi Brandy! I am in!! I’ve been reading your blog for a few years now, but this is the first time I’ve commented. You have been an encouragement and an enormous blessing to me, and my little family has benefited greatly from what you share here on The Marathon Mom, so thank you. My “babies” are four and six, and I’m more than ready to shed the weight that has stuck around…and continued to creep up. Looking forward to this!!
